Hopefully by now, you will have an active blog attached to your website.
If you don’t, then I can’t tell you how much you’re really missing out!
Educating your pre and postnatal clients is key to building rapport and getting yourself out there as a Pre/Postnatal Specialist.
New mums and mums-to-be are hungry for information, what you need to do, as a pre and postnatal expert is, impart the right knowledge on them.
Blogging is an incredibly effective way of doing this.
I have 2 contacts close to me here in Nottingham who blog for a living.
Yes, you heard me correctly – their sole source of income is made from blogging.
Both had young families when they first started out, and they took a career break, deciding not to return to their high-pressured jobs once their blogs become successful.
Here are some examples of benefits they’ve gained from blogging:
- All expenses paid family holiday to Disneyland, Florida
- Week long holiday for 2 adults, 2 children to CentreParcs
- Helicopter ride for 2 people
- Luxury Day at Eden Hall Day Spa, Nottinghamshire
- Corrective Eye Surgery with Optical Express
- 4* weekend retreat at a Hotel in Mayfair, London
- iPad, Lenovo tablet and iPhone
- Girls Dolls House worth £1,000
- Kitchen Extension worth £12,000
- An endless supply of children’s toys, gadgets, home furnishings and electronic devices
It’s a hard life, eh? But quite honestly, there’s no reason why you, yourself can’t aspire to this either.
If you’ve been dreaming about teaching fewer classes, seeing fewer 1-2-1 clients, getting a better work life balance in place and finally setting up a successful online business, then perhaps you should give blogging some serious thought.
Below are 8 simple ways you can make money from blogging:
1 – ADVERTISING SPACE
Sell advertising space on your blog. You know those ads you see in the sidebar? Yep, you can make money off them. The going rate’s around £20-30/month.
2 – PRODUCT REVIEWS
Write a review of a product and receive a commission off each sale made. When you write a product review, any click throughs that turn into sales means you’ll receive 2-20% of each product purchased. It’s similar to affiliate marketing.
3 – SELL YOUR OWN PRODUCTS
Keep all of the income yourself and sell your own products on your blog. The easiest way to do this is: a) create an online product, b) write a blog post selling the benefits of it, and c) put a link at the end for readers to purchase it. Job done. And, you could get some affiliate marketers onboard to sell your product to their mailing list/on their blog too. Do you see the potential here? It’s huge!
4 – SIGN UP BOX
Using your mailing list to sell your wares to existing/prospective clients works. So, by placing a sign up box to your newsletter list at the end of each blog means you can get in touch with your followers more frequently and sell them your stuff.
5 – GUEST BLOG POST (1)
Once your expertise as a blogger increases, other blogging sites will approach you to write a Guest Blog Post for them. And, the best bit is: you’ll receive a commission for writing it.
6 – GUEST BLOG POST (2)
This works the other way round too. You can ask people to write for YOUR blog and charge them for it as your blog gains popularity. Clever, eh?
7 – SELL THE PRODUCT YOU’VE REVIEWED
I can’t give too much away here, but, let’s say you’re given a swish new baby product to review, and well, you know you’re not going to get much use out of it after your baby is all grown up. Well, you can use your noggin and make a profit from selling that nearly new product on sites such as eBay. Oh yes, yes, you can.
8 – COMPILE YOUR BLOGS TOGETHER
Compile your blog posts together and sell them as an ebook or purchasable download. Simples.
Food for thought there, eh?
